Elva Snow

The very talented Spencer Cobrin is back and he has brought the enchanting Scott Mathew with him! The music and lyrics to Elva Snow's debut album is pure romance and beauty. In the first song entitled "Pavement Kisses" Scott croons the words, "Something is better than nothing" as if his very heart were about to break, whilst the guitars and drums intermingle marking this as the beginning of a soulful musical journey.
"Hold Me", the second track makes you actually want to hold Scott, his emotion so convincingly beautiful and sad. The next song "Could Ya" is a bit more upbeat, beginning with some wonderful drums from Spencer, and this time, there are some saucy lyrics added that make one want to grind their hips with a "sick, sick Catholic!" "Drinking and Driving" is a melancholy tune that takes my breath away while "Shimmer" is like a "summer day in love", captured in song.
The lyrics to "Live to Love" remind me of the obsessive heart wrenching one feels when love is new, while "Eyesore" captures loneliness and loveliness wrapped up with some desperation. The last track, "Stars" starts out mellow, only to climax with Scott pleaing to see the "stars that shine in your eyes". After hearing the last track, it only makes me want to start the cd over again for another emotional escapade. In addition to the music being beautiful, the cover art done by the lovely Coleen Campbell perfectly harmonizes and captures the spirit of this album, making it a true work of art. This cd is a must for anyone with a soul and can be purchased at
CD Baby.
